I woudl say yes. It sounds as if you are faced with the same situation as me. A cheap solution instead of replacing the whole product.

Yes, if barely adequate is ok. - but don't expect a cheap plastic valve to be anywhere near as good as the metal original.

No, it screws to a standard Sharder car-tyre type valve (also on most bicycles inner tubes).
