Leisure batteries are designed to be deep discahrged and recharged where as a automotive battery is designed to have a constant charge level maintained.
A automotive battery is not suitable for leisure use as its life will be severely reduced.

how should i manage &charge my new 70AH leisure battery which is for occasional use in a caravan. I have a Halfords TC
should i keep on continuous trickle charge , particularly over winter when i shall not be using the caravan for say 3-4 months.

This trickle charger is designed to top up and maintain 12 v batteries. It is not designed to recharge flat batteries. Suggest you use Halfords fully automatic charger.

We will only fit a recommended battery to a vehicle. Leisure batteries are recommended for Boats, Motorhomes and Caravans
