the instructions aren't clear on how to recline the seat, is it an easy adjustment for the sleeping position

I have this car seat and the only way to recline it is by pressing down the yellow tabs just underneath the seat. This will only allow the seat to 'recline' a tiny bit.

There is therefore no actual sleeping position...which is really annoying!

Under the seat are two yellow paddles - push these (up or down - can't recall) and manoeuvre the seat to recline.

answer 4
no booster seats we saw have a proper recline but the seatfix version of the monza allows about an extra 5-10 degree recline by locking the issofix bars out rather than flush backto the seat.

The bar at the back of the seat needs to be up and the pillow needs to be deflated to allow the childs head to rest back in a more comfortable sleeping position

I have used this in a car without ISOFIX using the seatbelt to secure it as you would a standard booster.

answer 2
yes as the bars retract enough and if not they seem flexible enough to push between the back and seat of a car back seat assuming like most cars they are 2 seperate peices.

The Recaro Monza Child Car Seat will fit every car with Isofix anchor points.
If you are not looking for a child car seat with Isofix (seatfix) compatability then the standard Recaro Monza Child Car Seats fit in excess of 95% of vehicles.
Halfords offer a wide range of child car seats and our store colleagues will be pleased to assist you further and fully assess the fit of this car seat in your car

Question
What is the max child height for using this product please?
I understand there is a point at which a child's safety can be adversely affected when the headrest does not extend beyond a certain point on the head.

The law states that children must use a car seat until they reach either 135cm or 12 years of age, whichever comes first. High back booster seats are designed to fit up to the maximum height of 135cm and therefore if the head of the child is above this but they are not at the 135cm height limit, they should be seated upon a booster cushion using a seatbelt adjuster to ensure correct placement of the seatbelt
