Hello, once you have used T-cut on your car,do you then use a good quality wax,if you don't then you need to,as the wax protects the paint and will stop the rain from washing it away,it is important to wax as T-cut is a abrasive and thins the paint slighty to blend the scratches, hope this helps

Meguires swirl x or scratch x depending on the depth of the mark
give the car a good wash with a decent shampoo of your choice
claybar the whole car
then apply either of the above over the area's in question
give the car a coat of autoglym super resin polish
and then top that off with at lease one coat of wax of your choice prefferably 2 coats due to the weather conditions atm

T-Cut's full of filler and doesn't actually remove the defects - hence the re-appearance of the scratches. The best way is to use a dual action polisher or rotary polisher and a proper compound. Or use an abrasive which can be used by hand (athough it takes ages when working by hand!)

We have a huge range of Halfords Colour touch kits available online and instore. This kits help you mask small scratches in paintwork. If you look inside the bonnet of your car the VIN plate contains the paint code for your car.
If we do not stock the exact paint for your car many of our stores can mix the required colour for you.
