I was advised in Grimsby that it is only available online for the discounted price. In that store it is still 179 pounds.

Yes you can spray detergent with the vario lance set at the low pressure setting

This may be a case of the vario lance on your pressure washer being stuck onto the high pressure setting.
At the end of your vario lance there are two adjustable collars, one which alters the spray pattern and a second labelled with a positive and negative sign.
Please ensure that the latter is turned fully towards the negative sign. If you are experiencing any issues with the functionality of your pressure washer please contact the customer care line on 0845 601 7834. They will be happy to help you with any technical issues or faults you are having with your pressure washer
