Has to be connected via a hose to a water tap, hose not supplied with product. Powered off the mains, not via cigarette lighter, although an inverter may allow that.

Question
Fitting hosepipe to unit
I've had this unit a while, and only just got round to trying it out.

I have all the attachments that are listed in the instructions but can't seem to find anything to fit the water inlet on the front of the unit? I've tried putting the hosepipe connector in but there's nothing for it to latch onto and just falls inside the unit. So this isn't going to be watertight.
Am I missing a part? The front of the box shows a black hole, where my unit I can see the small silver hole where something screws into?

I'd return the unit but don't have a receipt.

Regards

Had the same issue and the manual is not very precise. You need to unscrew the orginal black cover, then screw on the hose connector. Even then it will be a bit loose, but tighten it with a pair of pliers until it won't turn anymore. That should fix it.

answer 2
Unscrew the attachment that came with it, put the screw part over your hose pipe, then push your hose onto it.

Once you've done that, screw the bit left on your hose TIGHTLY onto that.

It is especially useful for cars, as the low pressure is enough to clean, but not damage the paintwork.

The lance and gun connect together using a 'bayonet' fitting method, ie you must push the lance into the gun sufficiently to suppress the internal spring then twist the lance through approximately 90 degrees and locate the two shoulders of the lance. Once located it should be impossible for the lance to become detached from the gun when used.

Question
What is the maximum distance possible from the hose tap to car
I am thinking about buying this to clean my car but concerned about the maximum distance from the outdoor hose tap to my car which is probably around 10 metres away.

Can you advise if this is possible or do I need to buy a longer attachment?
