As with any of these products they are not a miracle cure but can treat minor leaks. However if a head gasket problem is suspected a vehicle technician should be contacted to asess how bad the problem is to aviod further damage to the engine.

It says on the instructions that it's not compatible with anti-freeze and coolant generally, you are supposed to drain and flush the system then refill with plain water, than drain and flush again after use, then refill with anti-freeze.

Question
Will this fix this problem please?
I have a Audi A4 51Reg, the oil has been used/burnt extremely fast(say every 300miles), and the water level is going down at the same time but not as fast as the oil level, no creamish stuff in the oil cap. Not sure itf it is a blowning head gasket or crack cylinder head, had a mechenic had a quick look cant see any leaks, so suspect it would be one of those two(gesket or head), will Holts Wondarweld fix this please? (The car has done 115000 and dont really want to spend 000s to fix). Thank you

The Holts Wondarweld permanently seals cracked cylinder blocks, internal and external leaks in the water jacket. It might be worth trying but it sounds that you may need a qualified mechanic to look at your problem.

Question
Will I also need to change the oil?
I am thinking to try this on my car, at least to give it a few more months until I might be able to replace it, as getting a new head gasket costs a fortune. I'm changing the thermostat too as this was the underlying problem. As there is evidence of 'the cappucino effect' under the oil cap will I need to change the oil too to give this a hope of working?

Hi, thanks for your interest in Holts Wondarweld 500ml. Changing oil before will have no effect on Wondarweld being able to seal the leak or not. As it’s water in oil, it would be best to change the oil after using Wondarweld to make sure there is no Wondarweld or coolant/water. The mixture of water and Wondarweld must not run into the oil. If the engine oil is red coloured, stop the engine and change the oil immediately.

Hi, thanks for your interest in Holts Wondarweld 500ml. Using this product should not block waterways in a motorbike engine but we recommend trying Holts Radweld Plus first, this looks like it might be a porous cylinder head problem and Radweld Plus is easier to use and worth a try. Hi, thanks for your interest in Holts Wondarweld 500ml. This does not sound like a cooling system problem. If it is related to the cooling system (e.g water in the engine etc.) Wondarweld might help. We advise the vehicle be diagnosed by a mechanic if you are unsure of the problem. The instructions for Wondarweld are on the back of the bottle.
