For the power steering you can use Halfords Power Steering Fluid (PSF), part number 575159-0. If you need a manual gear box oil then use Halfords Gear Oil EP80W/90 GL-4 (724443-0).

Halfords Automatic Transmission & Power Steering Fluid DIII does meet the Dexron III specification however the question of whether it is the correct product for the automatic transmission in your BMW 325i is much more difficult to answer. There are a number of different options for automatic transmission fluid for BMWs that vary depending on the exact model number of the transmission fitted to the vehicle. For this reason we would recommend that you consult your main dealer for further information as to the correct product for this application.

It is unlikely that Halfords Automatic Transmission & Power Steering Fluid DIII will be suitable for use in either the transmission or the power steering system of your Peugeot 206. To confirm which is the correct product we would need more information about the vehicle such as the age, engine size and fuel type. We would also need to know whether the intended use is in the transmission or as a power steering fluid.

We would need some more details about your vehicle to make an absolute recommendation however, most modern Audis use Halfords Central Hydraulic Fluid in their power steering systems. If your handbook recommends 'CHF11S or equivalent' then Halfords Central Hydraulic Fluid will be the right product. Another good indicator is the colour of the fluid already in your vehicle. If it is greenish in colour it is likely to be Halfords Central Hydraulic Fluid. If it is any other colour or you are still in doubt then please seek further confirmation before using any product.

Both the automatic transmission and the power steering of a 2001 Mercedes C230 Kompressor take a specialist product that we do not carry in our range unfortunately. We therefore recommend that you contact your local main dealer for the correct fluid for this application.

Halfords Power Steering Fluid (PSF) would be the most appropriate product from our range for the power steering system of you 2001(Y) Peugeot 206 CC. On this occasion the manufacturer’s specification would also allow for Halfords Automatic Transmission & Power Steering Fluid DIII.
