It will completely mangle up your wheel nuts so no chance of re-using them.

answer 2
No this will usually damage them and make them unusable. But if you have lost the locking nut adapter you wont be able to screw the locking nut back on anyway.

I've just used it successfully on my 2001 Volvo S40 so I'd assume it would be OK on a V40 too.

Laser Locking Wheel Nut Removers reverse thread grips the outside of wheel nut so should work on any locking nut regardless of the vehicle it is fitted to.
If your Locking Nuts have a free spinning outer guard these may not be suitable.

Question
Do you hammer these on first?
Just bought this from Halfords, there are no instructions and no-one in the shop can advise.
Are you supposed to hammer them on first?
I've tried using with an impact driver straight on the nut and it just spins round and makes a groove around the nut.

Does a regular wheel brace to onto this product ?
Does a regular wheel brace to onto this product ? The end of it looks circular, shouldn't it be shaped like a nut ?

Others have mentioned it only works with an impact drive, is this true ?

Thanks

Yes, as long as it's not the outside part of the locknut that spins- this kit only works for studs WITHOUT spinning outers.

Deep internal reverse thread and two socket sizes allows the sockets of the Laser Locking Wheel Nut Remover to fit locking wheel nuts on most vehicles. The nut can be removed and the tool reused.
