You do not require a prima in all instances for the application of this product. It depends on the product you are spraying

The "glowing" material in the glow in the dark product is a strontium based phosphor crystal. It is not harmful or hazardous.

Clear lacquer can be used, it may slightly reduce the fluorescence of the coating but won't interfere with the "glow in the dark" aspect.

Lightly abrade the plastic surface with abrasive paper and use a plastic primer (online code 456863) to help with adhesion.

It could be used but there are several points to consider:- With modern street lighting the glow would be quite faint. The formula contains a fluorescent pigment as well as a luminescent pigment. The fluorescent pigment gives the product its "day-light" yellow colour. The luminescent pigment gives it its glow at night. The fluorescent pigment will gradually fade, and re-application will be required every six months or so (depends on amount of UV light exposure). Therefore fairly high maintenance.
Also, the paint has a matt finish so would benefit from a gloss lacquer to help protect it (matt finishes are more prone to scratching / damage). Use a white primer.

This cannot be sprayed on a tent for two reasons:
Firstly it would crack and flake off as the tent fabric moves, secondly the solvents in the paint (mainly acetone) would attack the tent fabric.

Use Halfords white primer first before applying the glow paint

he Luminescent pigments do not fade in UV light.

Use a plastic primer (online code 456863) to help with adhesion.

For best results lacquer over to protect from water, use Halfords clear laquer 468843
