It does have a form of bluetooth.Your smartphone should have a wifi hotspot which needs to be turned on and the GO600 connects to your phone after searching and pairing. Seems to work well for me.

It pairs to your handset (iPhone in 'hotspot' setting, Android in 'Tethering and portable hotspot' setting) and then uses your phones internet connection.

It does connect via bluetooth - you have to set up a hotspot on your phone, it connects to the internet (for traffic updates etc) that way.

it links up through tethering. that means its data upladed from mobile data then passed through from Bluetooth. you need to link up the sat nav to the smart phone through Bluetooth then turn on your mobile data then it feeds the traffic updates. 90 mins use uses aprox 3 meg of data.
mine is the Galaxy S 3 that went straight into the go 600

Hi there.
I get 500 meg per month through contract. A 90 minute journey only uses 3 meg of data. please check with the service provider but if you are on contract then you are fine.
they use very little data, the idea is to link up every 2 minutes then it downloads it straight to the sat nave through mobile data then blue tooths straight to the phone

Put simply, they are bound to go up alot. It seems the new units don't contain sim cards so they get all the up to date information via your phone just like if you looked it up yourself.....on the phone.

No. for traffic updates but mapping & all of the usual updates like maps it updates as normal.
the smart phone offers data for traffic updates & cameras. The go Live 1005 is the same price. That is map updates for life & traffic updates & live services for 3 years.
Hope this helps
