Question
Inflator no longer inflating - have I done something wrong?
I bought this device Summer 2008 in preparation for a long journey. I used the inflator on a couple of occasions in the Autumn and it always did the trick.

Recently I wanted to inflate a soft tyre, and connected up the unit. It lit up as expected, and the digital read-out worked correctly, but when I switched it on - the pump did not work.

Any idea - have I done something wrong? Doesnt seem to be a power issue...

If you take the tyre inflator into your local store with your proof of purchase, they can have a look at this item and maybe exchange it if faulty.

Instrucions
1. With the power switch in "0" (off) position, unwind power cord completly from storage compartment and plug into 12v power socket in vehicle. Wait a few seconds until display shows 0.0. Gauge is for indication purposes only. Tyre pressures should always be checked after inflation with an independant gauge.
2 To choode the desired pressure format (PSI,BAR,kPaP press the "R" button. Each pree of the button cycles through the three formats.
3. Uncoil the high pressure hose. Connect valve connecter to tyre valve. Gauge will dispay the current tyre pressure. If the tyre is over inflated, remove the connecter hose and manually remove the excess air from the valve and recheck the pressure by either reconnecting the inflator or by usinf a tyre pressure gauge (please check your vehicle handbook for specific tyre pressures)
4. If the tyre is under inflated, adjust to the correct pressure (as specified in the vehicle handbook) Use the + or - buttons to adjust the pre-set value of the gauge display. Press power switch to "1" (on) position. The inflator will inflate to the selected pressure and stop automatically. Note. towards final infaltion, tyre pressure display reading may be slightly higher than the selected pressure. This is a normal function of the pre-set feature.
NB This inflator must be allowed to cool if it used continuously operated for a period of 10 minutes.

Question
Does this pump allow me to inflate Presta type cycle valves?
I want a digital tyre inflator for my car and this one looked ideal, but I also wanted to be able to use it for my bike tyres that have Presta valves and I need to know if this pump will do both (I couldn't see anything on the box), is there an adapter that I could use like in the Michlen one?

Question
Can I get a replacement part for clipping on to tyre nozzle?
Compressor unit fo Rapid Digital Tyre Inflator (Item Code 570952) is working OK but the unit will not inflate because the bit that screws on to the end of the flexible hose does not open the tyre valve.
