ignore the top answer, yes you can change the size of the sprocket but you will need to shorten your chain, but if you want a smaller sprocket but want to keep the gearing managable so you dont have to pedal too much you need to match the front sprocket with the back one, 25 tooth front and 9 rear is a good match.

No It wouldn't the performance will go right down, you would be trying hard to pedal and it will not go far.

yes the chain ring should fit but will lower your gear ration and you will likely need to shorten your chain. A wider selection of chain rings are available to order at your local halfords store

Halfords offer a free safety check on all bikes purchased after 6 weeks of ownership. I suggest you contact your local store (ask for bikehut) and book your bike in for this check, so the problem can be resolved on this bike.
If you do not get the expected level of service from teh bikehut colleagues (which you should do) then ask to speak to the store manager

The decoy is a much better bike it has a full cromolly frame, a 3 piece crank set, better wheels and 39-14 gearing instead of a 42 - 16 on the hustle.

answer 2
Bikes are not manufactured to a controlled weight. Minor variations in the weights of the numerous individual components fitted to the frame can accumulate to provide significant variance in the overall weight of the bike. An indicative weight of 15.6Kg has been obtained by weighing a sample of this model, but as explained above individual bike weights will vary.

it depends on the tt (top tube) length of the bike and how good you are on a bike, between 20' and 20.5' tt would suit your height and if you are a complete beginner then yes but if you have any skill at all go for something better because it will be an awful bike to learn things on!

Dues to the style of BMX they are very small. This effectually a full size BMX. Although it may not be the most suitable style if bike for long rides it will be a suitable size BMX for you.

Hi, probably too late to post this reply but the bike is just the right size for my 12 year old son, the age they state is really a 'from' age!, I am 42 and I still ride a BMX, you'll see no end of 6' teenagers riding them so thats not a problem. the only thing to remember is that it is a BMX and has no gears, its designed for what it is, so long rides with people who have bikes with gears can be tiring, but you'll have more fun when you get there!

Question
what would happen if?
What would happen if i put a Taya Chrome Plate BMX Bike Chain and a
DBX Chain Tensioner 14mm onto an x-rated boys bmx bike?

What would happen to the performance would it improve it or make it worse?

answer 2
The performance would certainly not decrease. The chains that come on the x-rated's are fairly decent so putting on a Taya chain would up the quality a little. You would most likely not notice any difference.

The only advantage of fitting a tensionser would be keeping the chain tension for a longer period. It is common that BMX rear wheels need to be pulled back often to keep the chain tight. Therfore the tensioner would decrease the amount of times you have to do it. And make it easier to pull the wheel back.

I bought one for my son last week and it has a 'One Piece' crank , it would have a bolt at the opposit end of the peddle arm where it meets the bottom bracket if it was a three piece. As for taking it off.....I would only do that if it was bent and you'll have to be handy with a spanner and have some grease to put it back together,.....refit it too tight or too loose and you'll ruin the bearings and possibly the bottom bracket bearing cups.

It is a 3-piece crank on the hustle. The nut on the LH crank arm near the Bottom bracket holds it all together. Remember to remove the pedal first before disassembling the bike!
