How does the life time guarantee work ?
I own a set of flex head rachet spanners from the halfords professional range. Some of the rachet heads have started to slip making them useless. The problem is i am not sure i have the reciept from when i purchased the set. How do i go about getting the broken ones repaired or replaced ?

you dont need a recept because it say halford pro on the product its just the ame as snap on policy

As it is their own brand and their professional range has a lifetime gaurantee, there should be no problem for them to fix these even without the receipt.
Go ahead and ask or you will go spending money you may not need to spend replacing them.

The metals of the tools in the Halfords Professional Rachet Spanner Set are guaranteed. The moving parts (rachets) are not covered under this warranty.
A proof of purchase is likely to be required by stores for replacement of spanners in the set which have suffered metal corrosion.

Storage for ratchet spanners
Hi, I got a set of flex-head ratchet spanners just before Christmas. The spanners are great but the storage tray is a pain to use. Does Halfords offer any kind of tool role or enhanced storage unit that will suit these spanners?

No i don't think so, however, try Silveline tools uk, they have some in metric and imperial, i can say that the metric ones are great, i guess the imperial would be too.

Shop around for a good price as well, you can often get them cheaper than what Silverline RRP.

Sorry, the specialist nature of imperial sizes has caused us to limit our range, I have looked at several of the special order ranges and have not yet found a suitable alternative.

Unfortunatley moving parts are not covered by the guarantee but please take it along to your local Halfords store where they can inspect it for you.

all tho this has lifetime warrenty but doesent cover movable parts does this have a standard warrenty has well for example 1 year on it movable parts in case the rachet breaks under stress

Hi, thanks for your interest in Halfords Professional Flexible Ratchet Spanner Set. Provided with this product is a lifetime guarantee except for moving parts as they are a wear and tear item. Breakage within 1 year would be exchanged, as parts would not have had time to wear out.

warrenty on ware and tear
has i asked the queston of the warrenty on the movable parts and you gave me a good anser back
you said the item would be replaced as the item wouldent of had time to wear within a year how long do you give the product and till it classed as wear and tear if the rachet and movable part was to fail
