Matt Black is not petrol proof, and will come off when exposed to repeated splashes with petrol. If matt black is over-coated with the petrol resistant lacquer then it will end up with a gloss finish.

Solvent based acrylic. "Solvent based" does not imply resin/binder type, only the fact that solvent is the carrier, as opposed to water. The actual resin type is acrylic.

The maximum temperature is around 70C, although as it's a thermoplastic acrylic it will be fairly soft at this temperature.

Halfords Vinyl Paints have very good adhesion to most plastics, as well as superior flexibility. If you're spraying rigid plastic you could use a primer but we would recommend the use of the adhesion promoter as well.
The primer is flexible but not as flexible as the vinyl paints. This is something to bare in mind if the plastic is going to flex to any significant degree. If the primer fails it will obviously bring the vinyl top-coat off with it. So on a flexing surface it's better to just use Halfords Adhesion promoter (code 156680) followed by the vinyl paint.

Hi, thanks for your interest in Halfords Matt Black Paint 500ml. For best adhesion on spoilers/bumpers I would recommend applying adhesion aid first (156680). The top-coat can be applied directly after this if the surface is perfectly smooth, if not apply adhesion aid, primer, then top-coat. Rub down between primer and top-coat with 1200 wet & dry.
