Butted tubes vary in thickness along their length, they are thicker at the ends where there are more stresses and thiner in the centre where there are less stresses, overall they are lighter than plain gauge tubing. Low profile tyres have a tread pattern that has been designed to minimise rolling resistance on the road whilst also maintaining effective levels of grip. Double ring chainset as the name suggests has 2 chainrings and a chaniguard.
