Some 2.5" tyres may be too wide, you will have to choose carefully to allow enough mud clearance.

It depends very much on the conditions (wet mud etc) and the tyres, 30-35psi is about average.

The Banshee's rims will accept a 2.3 tyre fine. However, tyre sizes vary dramatically between manufacturers and as a result it is always recommend that you check the frames tyre clearance before riding the bike.

The Banshee will accept a Downtube Mudguard. These generally fit using high tensile rubber bands that wrap around the frame and hold the mudguard in position. The Crud Catcher (134794) is an example of this style of mudguard. Alternatively, you can use a Fork fitting mudguard such as the Topeak Defender FX (593822), this fits under the steerer tube of the fork and is also compatable with this bike.

Question
Which cassettes are compatible with this bike?
I am considering the SRAM PG-850 8 Speed Cassette 12-23 along with the SRAM PG830 8 Speed Cassette 11-32 so I can fit either cassette depending on my choosing at that time. I am wondering which tools are needed for fitment and whether a different chain is required.

In principal this will work fine. However, everytime that the cassette is changed the gears will need to be retuned, especially the 'B Knuckle' which determines how much slack is in the chain. To change the cassette you will need two specialist tools; A Cassette Lock ring remover (item code: 969741) and a Chain Whip (item code: 955518) as well as an adjustable spanner.
