answer 2
Bikes are not manufactured to a controlled weight. Minor variations in the weights of the numerous individual components fitted to the frame can accumulate to provide significant variance in the overall weight of the bike. An indicative weight of 17Kg has been obtained by weighing a sample of this model, but as explained above individual bike weights will vary.

Despite having a smaller 14" frame Dirt Jump Bikes have 26" wheels for their jump capabilities, this bike may be suitable for adults around 6 foot, I would advise that your try the bike in store.

Question
Is this a good traveling bike?
This might be stupid but I currently ride around on a suspension mountain bike and go travel around 16 miles every other day. The majority of the time I am standing up so this jump bike looks quite good for me because I could spend some time learning and performing some jumps. I'm just wondering if this bike is built for 16 mile journeys and mountain biking or if it is really only intended as stunt/jump bike.

In my tested opinion, because of the single gear *ratio* this heavy bike with wide, californian style handlebars, is only fun downhill (including the slightest downhill gradient). Uphill or flat is hard work to get up to speed to perform even a small bunny hop off a kerb. But downhill with the low rider position is a blast due to the weight. 1 mile on flat is exhausting (unless there is a bit of wind to push you).

This bike is perfect when using it for jumps and stunts with a tough hi-tensile frame and double wall rims. In regards to taking it moutain biking and on 16 miles rides it would depend on the terrain due its single speed gears and also rigid suspension, speak to a member of store staff to discuss your requirements and the bike you need.
