The Halfords 1 Million Candlepower Torch has a continuous use time of 45 minutes from a single charge and yes it can be recharged before the battery runs out. If the charge is very low, the battery will take approximately 8-10 hours to reach maximum capacity when using the mains adaptor supplied. However, a 4 hour charge period will provide a useable amount of charge in the battery.
