answer 2
It selects your route based upon how busy roads are, not just the length of the journey and max speed.

Works too!

answer 3
As far as I can work out, the more you use the SatNav, it builds up a "memory" of the times of days and routes that are heavily congested with traffic, and will send you an alternative route if it beleives there will be less traffic at that time.

answer 4
It factors in the time of day you are travelling at to calculate the route so as to avoid bottlenecks which could slow you down

IQ routes basically means the sat nav plans your route using historical traffic flows to chose the least congested route

answer 6
They reckon that IQ picks an intelligent route based on the time of day and the day of week. If you are driving in rush hour, it takes into account likely traffic levels on your route and might choose an alternative it thinks could be quicker. In my experience though, it just seems to pick the most obvious route each time.

answer 10
As I understand it, the route selected can change depending on the time of day and day of the week. It knows if a particular road is congested at certain times, and offers an alternative.

answer 4
The rule is you order on-line and collect in store. Otherwise you'll pay the "store" price. I researched makes and models on line for the facilities I wanted; found Halfords had a ver keen price and went (early in the morning) and asked to see the unit. Quality OK , screen bright and clear, wanted to purchase it. When Halfords mentioned the price I quoted the internet price from the evening before... delightful staff went off and ordere it on line for me and let me have it there and then. Good service made me VERY happy... I've spent too much of my life being constrained by "rules". The staff were VERY Helpful and kind.

No the offers on the Internet are special. I have just bought the XL (IQ Routes) and reserved it online at the offer price. I took the coupon that you get when you reserve it online and when I went to collect it I found that it was £40 more in-store. However, they took the coupon and I payed the lower price with no questions asked.

There are written instructions but they are rather thin. Most of the menu system is reasonably easy to follow but you need to think. I have managed without going to their website. I think you need to be comfortable with technology products to manage with what is in the box.
