I just bought this device and with my HTC Hero, I can use the usb cable to charge the phone, and the bluetooth connectivity to play the music files on the SD card through the bluetooth reciever, it was rather easy to set up, especially if you follow the instructions, (they're incredibly well written)

Question
Is the buletooth handsfree Parrott Bluetooth?
I was just wondering if the bluetooth handsfree that comes with this unit is the same as the Parrot bluetooth i.e. when a call is made/answered will it come through the car speakers?

Having set mine up, it seems to work the same way. The microphone is connected into the back of the unit and you get ~6ft of cable to locate the microphone wherever you want. When a call comes in it kills the music and shows on the display who's calling (by reading you phone book... clever eh??). you then chose whether to answer by pressing the call accept button..

The same happened with me, though I have a Golf. The website said I needed a wiring harness but the store did not have one. When I turned up, it turned out I didn't need one after all. I suggest going in to the store to talk to a fitter - you may be able to save yourself a few pounds.

Yes. You can set the unit to connect through your bluetooth, or buy the optional lead and connect your iphone into the front USB and view/select tracks through the header unit (or so it says in the manual). I have a Galaxy Galaxy 4G and it runs audio and phone through the bluetooth no problems.

strictly speaking,, yes,,
but,, the chances of you having the stereo on its max setting long enough to damage the speakers is minimal,
if you think you will be running it at max volume alot then i would heavily recommend upgrading your standard speakers anyway reguardless of which stereo you have

you will have to turn your unit up pretty loud to blow your speakers. You should be fine, chances are if anything blows it will just be a fuse.

Saving audio settings e.g. EQ settings permanently?
My boyfriend brought me the JVC KD-R711 Bluetooth CD Radio yesterday and installed it in my car.
Following the manual instructions we adjusted the CD settings such as the EQ settings and audio settings to my liking, did everything that was stated in the manual.
However, as soon as the engine/power is turned off, then turned back on again, the adjusted settings don't appear to have saved?
Can anyone help me out, as its rather annoying having to keep adjusting these settings every time i want to listen to my music.
Thanks

sounds to me like there is an issue with the permanent live feed,, check it and also if there is an inline fuse check that hasnt been blown while installing it

answer 2
This may be due to incorrect wiring on installation. Basically the unit is losing its memory as it has not been connected to permanent live feed. There is no fault with the unit at all and we recommend that you go to the store where it was purchased from and get them to check and rectify this basic problem.
