Hi, thanks for your interest in Dynamic Jump Starter. The rating of the battery is 17 Ah battery fitted. This will supply approx 200 cold cranking amps of starting power to boost your existing battery to start the car.

The A/C charger supplied is a trickle charger but leaving on permanently is a waste. The unit needs to be fully charged after each use and every 3 months if not used.

Can you jump start your car by connecting with cigarette connecter instead of leads

You cannot jump start your car via the cigarette connector as the fuse for the socket and your vehicle internal wiring behind the dash is not suitable for jump starting. The battery leads must be used.

Yes if your tyre inflator has a cigarette plug you can power it from the built in cigarette socket on the side of the jumpstart unit

No Jumpstarters are intended to give high voltages for a short period to jump start a car battery. They are not intended to run accessories for extended periods of time. We would recommend using a 12V Power adapter for this purpose.

Have you read the instructions?

Needs 12 hours to charge initially and you need to press the red button to see how much charge there is. Works better charged from the mains

Please try this with the engine running, as no charger will be sent until the ignition is put on, If you find that this still has no effect, please return the product to your local store where the Parts team can assist you with this issue.

Question
It this its normal operation?
I bought this over the weekend and I tried to first put it to charge, as per the instructions. Only a couple of hours later I heard a buzzing noise that came from inside the unit and lasted 1-2 continuous minutes and after that the red light that was on during the charging time went completely off (and the noise stopped).
Is this normal? Is this an indication that the charging is fully done? Please advise as if this is not the case then I need to take it back. Pressing the test button it shows 13.5.
I have not tried to use it yet.

2.2L Diesel Car
Hi
Would this start a 2003 Mercedes C Class with a 2.2l diesel engine?

It wouldn't start my 2.2l diesel Civic, so I wouldn't take the chance. Even on full charge, all I got was a cough and splutter from the engine and had to get someone round with a heavier duty unit which started it first time. This one worked perfectly when I had a temperamental 1.3 petrol, but just didn't have the oomph for the larger engine.
