I suspect not as that model has a three litre engine and the product is only rated to two litre engines.

This could be merely to avoid complaints, I used to have a 2.5 litre Audi and jump leads rated up to 1.8 worked fine.

Suggest Halfords check the vehicle battery first to see if a replacement is required. This booster pack assists the existing battery to start the vehcile and is not a replacement battery. This pack should be sufficient tos upport the existing battery but this is dependent on the existing battery condition

No Jumpstarters are intended to give high voltages for a short period to jump start a car battery. They are not intended to run accessories for extended periods of time. We would recommend using a 12V Power adapter for this purpose.

You cant use a 9v adapter you need to buy a 12v one. Any universal power adapter that goes up to 12v DC will work

Do not use a 9 volt charger. This incorrect charger may have damaged the battery. The charger supplied with this product has a 12 volt output.

Question
Re-charging from flat in red
Received this late last year as a present. Charged as per instructions (12hrs) and have used it to pump up tires, etc.
Recently noticed the charge has hit red (i.e. zero) on the indicator while it sat in the car back, so have charged it from mains using provided adaptor - red light shows and indicator goes right across to right side (charging - red section).
Once charged (12hrs-18hrs), the indicator shows still to the right in the green 'charging' sector even though not connected any more.
After 12 hours sitting in my house, it shows 100%, then later shows less. The charge doesn't seems to hold more than 24-48hrs.
Any suggestion please in getting it to hold charge?

Question
How flat is too flat ?
I've got a Passat 1.9 TDi that hasn't been out for several months. As such the battery is extremely flat, reading about 1.8V across the terminals and with too little charge for the central locking or lights to work. What are the odds that the Jumpstarter will get this going ?

It may work. According to the descrioptions in the Argos for similar products it states that the car battery must have at least two and a half per cent charge. Assuming full (idle) charge is 12V then this would be 0.3 volts.

For a running 14V then 0.35 volts.
