No breather - it's 'maintenance free' and is a sealed unit.

Yes it does. It has a breather connection on both sides and comes with a small 'plug' to place in the connection that you don't use.

Yes it has a vent either side with a plastic plug on the positive terminal cover which you use to seal the one you don't need to use. Opening was exactly the same size as the one in my original BMW battery.

The Bosch Silver HSB019 has a 'labyrinth safety lid' which incorporates 2 breather holes (one either side of the lid).
The vent elbow and breather tube can be inserted into either side (depending on which is easiest). Use the one from the battery being replaced - the fitment is universal.
In order to safely control any gases out of the battery and through the breather tube - the opposite side hole needs to then be blocked.
On the positive terminal cover there is a bung which can be broken off and inserted into the opposite hole - this blocks the exit this side, allowing all the gases to exit via the breather tube in a controlled and safe manner.

I've switched two batteries on a BMW 5 series and the computer is not disabled so long as the exchange is fairly fast.
Don't know how long the sytem can go without voltage but I would guess probably 15-30 minutes as there is probably a capacitor in the on-board computer sytem to tide over short spells of no voltage.
Otherwise just set up a battery charger in parallel while the changeover is made.

Our stores use a Memory Saver system which will prevent any loss of codes on you car while we change the battery.

We recommend you check this with your local store when they fit the battery but this should not be a problem.

Hi
If you find the watt consumption of each light then times that by 6, you will have the total watt consumption of the lights. This is a 12 volt system so lets say for example the lights are all 20 watts that is 120 watts and the battery is 120 amp hours. You take the total wattage of the lights and divide it by 12volts to get the amps consumed in this example 60 divided by 12 = 10 amps.
120 amp hour battery fully charged, you should maybe only use 100 of the amp hours available to re start the van will run. So this would be in this example 100 amps for 1 hour or 10 hours for these lights.

The correct battery type for the Renault Trafic is 096 (online code 161003). The affect of the lights depends on their wattage but car batteries are not designed to be discharged deeply and then recharged. This kind of use will damage the battery and it may not re-charge. An additional deep cycle leisure battery may be more suitable for this application (online code 960013).

Somewhere on the battery there should be a date stamp, as to shelf life i'm unsure, but if i were paying good money for a battery i'd want it to be as new as possible.

Bosch no longer quote a reserve capacity for their batteries. The standard measure for car batteries is Amps-EN. This battery is rated at 830 Amps-EN.
