Hi Algar,

At the back of the unit there is a red and yellow cable which is the power cables, as standard it will be red plugged in to red and yellow in to yellow, swap these os it is yellow to red and red to yellow, this will ensure the radio does not rest once you turn of the ignition.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mitch,

Yes the unit will support a sub as it has single line sub out cable however if your using a sub and amp i'd go for a Sony stereo as these have 2 channel pre amplified outputs and much better sound quality processor than this Sendai unit.

I have looked at the specification for the iPod Touch and it now features Bluetooth, so if your iPod touch has bluetooth, with A2DP profile you should be able to pair the touch with the head unit, then you should be able to wirelessly stream music from the iPod touch to the unit. However, this is 'in principle' and I would strongly suggest that you visit a Halfords store, where the head unit is on live working display and speak with a specialist who can take you through the pairing process in order to establish if the results are satisfactory before you commit to purchase. Apple change the software on their devices regularly when you connect to iTunes, so it is not known if this may have an effect on the compatibility between these two devices. The unit is not specifically listed as being iPod Touch compatible and is designed for streaming music via A2DP bluetooth profile primarily from enabled mobile phone handsets. The product is not 'made for iPod'.

Yes mate. On the wiring harness at the rear is a blue wire which can be used to connect an external amp or power ariel.Basically use this wire to provide the live feed to your ariel. When you switch the set on, the blue wire becomes live and the ariel will then operate.

Question
I have just bought a Sendai CD988BT car stereo & the microphone does not work, What settings should I be using?
I've got an iphone 3GS. The bluetooth connects no problem and I'm able to make a call but the microphone doesn't pick up my voice. I'm concerned that the microphone might not work properly. What settings should I be using? The instructions with the stereo are not the greatest.

the supplied mic is ok but not brilliant, if it doesn't work, take it back and change it. or ask staff to sort it out, its guaranteed so its not your problem, its the stores. Mine works well enough, but there may be faulty units out there.
