Yes. You can even have Australian Shiela's or American female too. Or download a funny one. You can record your own if you wish. Get your wife or girlfriend to record what you need and she will tell you how to get where you want to go without any shouting!

It does not have Bluetooth but one or two models up the chain do. If you spend enough, you can even watch Freeview TV on one model!

As for Speed Cameras:
This model is pre-loaded with camera locations for both fixed & mobile cams. However, you need to update it at some point, via PC & USB cable (not included).

You could charge the sat nav in your house, either via a plug in USB charger or by plugging the unit into a USB port on your computer.
Obviously if it goes flat whilst driving you'll be stuck, but battery life is generally pretty good at ~4 hours.

the 1300 willl run in battery for approx 4 hours.
if your journey time is longer than this you will need to have an electrical connection in the form of a cigar lighter fitted. halfords normally can do this for you.

Some of the older Garmins would only let you avoid 'Major Roads' rather than avoid 'Motorways'. This could often route you away from 'A' roads as well, taking you along narrow 'B' roads instead, which wasn't really much use. The newer Garmins including the 1300 series now list 'Motorway' in the Avoidance Menu. Re-routing away from the motorway will now take you along 'A' roads if they are available. The best thing to do is physically check the one's on display at Halfords to see if Motorway is listed in the 'Avoidance' menu.
