answer 1
It would be fine for a beginner but while the quality is good for the price the build quality is not robust enough for day in and day out use. If you are serious about mechanics you're better off investing in serious kit. Buying cheap just means buying twice.

answer 5
I was very impressed with the wide range of tools in this box. Not only is it fairly portable, everything is cushioned and has its own place in the drawers. In my own opinion, this would be an ideal starting place. I would have given eye teeth for a tool box like this when I was younger. Even with the tools I have amassed over the years to service my cars, I still bought this tool box. There are both imperial and metric tools - handy if your college course allows you to tackle the odd job at home with classic cars. Classic cars are still popular and not everyone who owns one, knows what to do if something needs fixed. Good luck on your course!

answer 7
It would be a good, cheap start. I'd suggest that you only used it to get started though and that there are quite a few bits you'll need on top of this set.

answer 11
Although this set is not designed for long term or heavy use it will provide you with a good range of tools to begin with. If when tools break you replace them with better quality products you will save the initial cost of buying many tools you may not need
