I purchased a pack containing headlamp beam adaptors and GB magnetic plate yesterday from your Canterbury store. The instructions however do not clearly show the fitting to my car which is a late 2007 Skoda Fabia 2, 1.6 . Can you please advise me on the correct fitting.

Rather hoped someone could answer this for me too but in essence it is I think 'picture 4'. When you look at the headlights you will see the bulb about 2-3 inches across. Put the round masking piece on the covering glass a bit like an eclipse: to the right of centre with the extreme left-hand part of the masking circle roughly above the middle of the bulb. Pretty sure that's right

Question

Despite best efforts I failed to remove the adhesive last year and have added this years layer. What can I use without scratching the glass?

I have used turps substitute, meths, washing up liquid, Mr. Muscle glass cleaner, all to no avail. I have used a scraper to some extent but do not want to damage the clear glass on my XC70.

If they are glass, you can use white spirits. Don’t use this on plastic though it will ruin them. If you have plastic headlamps like most modern cars then get them warm by leaving them on full beam stationary for a few minutes and use WD40 and a cotton rag - It works a treat! There is also a product called "Sticky stuff remover" it’s quite good too and safe on plastic.

Buy the headlamp converters. Instructions include diagrams and cover all makes of car and are very clear as to where they should be positioned.
