Questions & Answers for Halfords Halfords Antifreeze & Coolant Concentrate 5 Litres

Question
Is this product used neat or diluted?
I want to top up the coolant levels on my Saab 9-3 Sportswagon (LD55BB0).

Is this product compatible? if yes, do I top up with it straight from the container, or dilute with water?

Thanks for any help you can provide

Most recent Saab's use a type of antifreeze based on Organic Acid Technology (OAT).

We stock two versions: Halfords Advanced Antifreeze (which needs to be diluted with water 1:1 or 1:2) or Halfords Ready Mixed Top Up Antifreeze which can be used straight out of the pack.

The fluid you have in your care at the moment is probably much like Halfords Advanced Antifreeze. This is the fluid that I would recommend. If your haven't changed the coolant in the last 3 or 4 years then I would recommend a complete drain and refill.

The Fiat Brava takes about 7 litres of coolant. Assuming that you dilute any antifreeze 1:1 with de-ionised water then you will need 3.5 litres of antifreeze.

Question
Is this OK to use with a Fiat Grande Punto
Checking the manufacturers handbook it says to use PARAFLU UP coolant liquid, and that anything else isn't compatable.
Do you sell PARAFLU UP ?
Would I need to flush the system completely or can I add this to it.

You would be better using Halfords Advanced Antifreeze (798785) which is an Organic Acid Technology product. This is the type of product that Fiat now fit. You should be able to simply add it to top up.

You don't give an age of your vehicle but most Rav 4's were filled with an Organic Acid Technology Fluid from about 2000 onwards. If yours is one of these then I would recommend Halfords Advanced Antifreeze which is an OAT product.

Manufacturers advise that you completely replace your engine coolant at regular intervals. Check your vehicle manual to determine how often you should do this.
