This product will be OK for your vehicle and would be a better choice than Halfords Advanced Antifreeze for a Volvo of this age.

This is not the same type of fluid that BMW would have used when they built the car. That would have been a product based on BASF Glysantin G48. It is available in the UK and normally is green in colour. This Halfords product would be OK but you would have to change it more frequently (every 2 years) than you would if using the OEM approved fluid.

The fluid you have in your care at the moment is probably much like Halfords Advanced Antifreeze. This is the fluid that I would recommend. If your haven't changed the coolant in the last 3 or 4 years then I would recommend a complete drain and refill.

The Fiat Brava takes about 7 litres of coolant. Assuming that you dilute any antifreeze 1:1 with de-ionised water then you will need 3.5 litres of antifreeze.

You would be better using Halfords Advanced Antifreeze (798785) which is an Organic Acid Technology product. This is the type of product that Fiat now fit. You should be able to simply add it to top up.
