Have used this on stainless steel car emblems without any problems but the stuff contains petroleum so i would just make sure you rinse it off properly after if used on an Exhaust for obvious reasons.

HI GREAT PRODUCT INTENSIVE TAR REMOVER BUT MAINLY FOR PAINTWORK NEVER USED ON EXHAUST,REGARDS SHAUN.

This product should not be used on exhausts, especially on the inside as there is always the possibility the exhaust is still hot and the product is flammable. A clay bar would remove contaminants.
