It may be that the contents of the box are covering the 'holes' and therefore preventing the locking pins fitting into place. Ensure that there is nothing covering these holes on the sides of the roofbox. This should then allow the roof box to lock and the key to be removed

Hi, i got a halfords roof box from a friend not sure which one . its locked and he cant find the key for it the number on the lock is N118 where can i get a replacement key. not sure which halfords store it was bought at as he bought it second hand. any help much appreciated

Question
Can I get a replacement locking pin?
One of the locking pins in my roofbox (older but equivalent model I think) has snapped at the point it screws into the lower part of the roof box. This is the black plastic "finger" that pushes the small button within the receptacle in the top section of the roofbox. Obviously without this "finger", the button never gets pushed in, and the lock will not operate.

Question: Can I get a spare one of these from Halfords?

Avoid the roof box overhanging the windscreen and make sure there is enough clearance at the back to be able to gain full access to the boot.
