Hi Stephanie. I have a Mazda 6 and it fits perfectly. Wife has a Mazda 2 and it is no problem. So a Mazda 3, being something between the 6 and the 2, I would suspect should not be a problem, assuming you have a roof rack that fits the 3 properly.
