What is the best product to use when finishing a paint repair to blend in the colour after lacquering?

If the laquer is on then the colour coat is sealed in and can't be blended. The edges of the repair paint should be 'melted' with spray thinners then the whole panel laquered to give the best finish. The laquer can then be cut back with very fine abrasive before being fine polished. Final stage is sealant/wax

A cutting compound is ideal to use after lacquering. The lacquer must be given sufficent time to go hard. Then use a polish such as Turtlewax colour magic to get rid of any over spray and help to blend the colours.

Simply put, no, this is designed to cut through oxidised paint / lacquer.

We would recommend using a cutting compound such as Tcut. It is imperitive that the lacquer is given sufficient time to go hard, 2 - 3 weeks, before any kind of product is applied to the area.
